Dorwin Cho works on a daily basis with business owners, helping them to run their businesses and real estate development projects smoothly, efficiently and profitably. He brings over 30 years of experience to his clients, on corporate and commercial legal matters, as well as estate and wealth planning for the independent business owner.
As an experienced business counsel, Dorwin sees his role as part of the management team of the independent business owner. Often consulted on business planning and management issues, clients seek his input on matters beyond the traditional boundaries of strictly legal matters.
Throughout his career, Dorwin has had significant involvement in residential, commercial and industrial real estate development projects – such as building lot subdivisions, townhouse projects and commercial as well as residential strata title developments, office complexes and shopping centres. He provides comprehensive and experienced service on real estate transactions and development projects, from start to finish, including acquisition and financing, joint ventures and business trusts, easements, covenants and building schemes, subdivision plans, strata plans, leasing, project sales.
He works closely with clients and their tax advisors on wills, estate & tax planning matters, business succession planning, family trusts, estate freezes and corporate reorganizations.
Dorwin is a member of the of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association and its Business Subsection, Real Property Subsection and Wills & Trusts Subsection, and the Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council.
