Barry Joe

For over 40 years, Barry Joe has represented consumers and businesses on real estate, corporate, business and estate matters. He established himself in Surrey over 40 years ago and is a former director of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce. His practice covers real estate transactions, subdivisions, construction and condominium projects, as well as incorporations, business purchases, franchises and lease negotiations.

Barry has a special interest in the food and hospitality industry. He has been involved in this industry for over 40 years as a lawyer, as owner of a number of restaurants, and as captain, waiter and “bottlewasher”. His wide ranging hospitality clientele include award-winning restaurants. Barry applies his unique background and experience to advise and guide his clients through the many issues and pitfalls in the start-up, purchase and sale of restaurants.

Barry is a member of the Vancouver Chapter of the American Wine Society, as well as the Law Society of British Columbia and the American Bar Association (Associate Member) – Economics Section.

He also consults with clients in Cantonese.
